A very merry unbirthday to Jessi!

Now, for the "comments on Jessi's blog" portion of the morning, I offer the following:

No offense taken to the observation that 25 years ago the pope could have "gotten down." The current pope was very physically fit during his youth, and was know as an avid skier. He traveled more than any other pope, and really experienced many of the countries he visited. He probably could have beat me in a race not too long ago.

I agree that blue eye-shadow is an abomination. However, I weep to inform you that this month's InStyle suggests that it is "coming back" as a legitimate fashion choice. They had a whole section on how to properly apply it. Oh, the horrors!

Finally, left turns blow. That's why the Jersey system of jughandles makes so much sense! Of COURSE it's better to turn right to go left!
